Elder David
Elder David has been in full time ministry for over 40 years. Early in his ministry he traveled as an evangelist preaching meetings, youth camps and revivals across the West Coast. In the late 80's God led him to assume the pastorate in Colton, California. For the last thirty five years, Higher Ground Church has experienced lasting growth from the initial thirteen saints to outgrowing the property in Colton and moving to a larger campus in Riverside. Under Elder David's vision of reaching Southern California, Higher Ground has established an additional daughter work in Banning CA. Elder's heart has always been to reach the lost souls of the Southern California region as well as across the globe. Higher Ground supports missionaries on every continent as well as home missionaries here in the United States.
Pastor & Sister David
Raised in church, Pastor David was called into the ministry at the age of 13. He initially resisted the call instead turning towards education and pursing a law degree. It was one night in a revival service where the visiting preacher obeyed God and spoke to him individually saying "God wants to change your career plans" and once again the call of God began to burn brighter than ever before. It was during this time that he began to study in earnest for himself. After studying Church history, Islam, Mormonism, Judaism, Adventist, & Jehovah's Witness's to name a few, he became even more convinced the he was without a doubt in the Truth. Soon after he moved to the island of Samoa spending six months working with the missionaries on site. After moving back to the states he was married in 2010. He was privileged to begin serving as Pastor at Higher Ground in 2021. Together, he and his wife have four children and continue to pursue the will of God.
